By Bus
Buses run to Slovenia from many European cities. In Slovenia, you can also get to most of the towns and the countryside by bus. If they run along local roads, the drivers can stop at a bus stop in any settlement. Most of the cars enter Slovenia by motorways, which is also the easiest way to travel around the country. It is easy to travel the Slovenian roads by car, since they are well and clearly signposted. By Air
In addition to the daily flights to many European cities, there are two low-cost flight providers flying from the main Slovenian international airport Jože Pučnik Ljubljana. They are EasyJet and Wizz Air, flying to London and Brussels. You can also fly to one of the foreign airports in the near vicinity, and access Slovenia from there by bus, train or rental car. Walking is a quick, reliable and healthy way to get around Ljubljana. By staying in the city center or around it, you can access all the biggest attractions of Ljubljana on foot, and you can manage easily without using a car or public transport. Namely, most of the tourist attractions and cultural monuments are located in the old historic city centre next to the river. What makes walking in Ljubljana even more pleasant and safe is that Ljubljana has the largest pedestrian zone in Europe. Since 2007 the old town has been closed for motorized vehicles.
Ljubljana is a bike-friendly city and of just the right size to see it by bike as it is relatively flat and compact enough to quickly get around the most beautiful corners by turning the pedals. Green suburbs and the outskirts have a lot to offer and bike can be a perfect way to get around from early spring to late autumn. Biking is also the most nature friendly way of transport.
